Because of many scams and frauds on the web, it might be difficult for many internet-marketers and entrepreneurs to make their business successful on the web. Before you start your own e-commerce and marketing/advertising it on the web, you should study carefully the definition of “scam”. One of the best definition of scam you can find here:

http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/definitions.php

It is very important, that following information is available on your website (not limited to):

- Your name and address : If you are not willing to publish your name, you should not start any business. Business is people, people are business.

- Contact email-address : Try to avoid common email addresses (gmail, hotmail, yahoo etc), you should register your own domain name and use personalized email-address.

- Terms of service and disclaimer: These are the rules and each customer can decide themselves if they want to do business with you.

- Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ: Your customers can find answers to their questions about your business. Be honest with your answers!

- Product or Service: What is the product or service offered on the website? I don’t trust a website where I have to enter my name and email before I receive more information.

Doing business (online or offline) can be risky and it is always related with investments, either monetary and/or working time.

Sincerely

good post Teresa and sure very valuable information. Most or even all spammers and scammers have one thing in common: They never upload a picture of themselves or reveal any real contact information. They always join networks just to post their pre-written ads and never read others' ads. I wonder if anyone ever joins their biz ops as I sure wouldnt.

I agree, Teresa. We also, need to first be trained to be "professional" network marketers! We need training in every thing else we do in life. Would you go to a Dr. if he did not go to medical school? Why should anyone join you if you have no training or have something of value to help them with.

You are so correct. Business is people! And network Marketing is a people business NOT sales! Training should be for FREE. At least in the MLM and on-line world and the costs need to be in your business and your marketing for that biz. Having a MENTOR

is the way to go. Every successful person has had a mentor showing them the way and had a duplicate-able system that they can attest to was their secret to success! Also they all connected to Master Mind groups of people and teams that were of like minds. This is the only way success can happen! Why do we not learn this in school? We need each other and support of others to  have the TRUE SUCCESS THAT EACH ONE OF US DESERVES. Let us all GET THE TRAINING WE NEED, become CRITICAL THINKERS-that there will put the"scam-ers" out of business! I help others first, mentor for FREE and promote the FREE mentoring training. When I help enough people get what they want, I eventually get what I want. Patience and persistence is the key to that and using The Slight Edge as Jeff Olson writes in his amazing book, in my opinion, is the path to take. Everyone is welcome to read my FREE e-book to start our free training here. http://mariji.successin10steps.com/?mad=26350
